The Belgian Blue Breed


The Belgian Blue breed represents 50% of the national herd, which is made up of 1.083.408 cows. 61 % of the Belgian Blue livestock is in the Walloon region and 39% in the Flemish part of Belgium. The Belgian Blue herd is spread all over Belgium. However, it is in the Provinces of Luxemburg, Hainaut and Western Flanders that the number of Belgian Blue is the most im-portant.
